Techstart And Creator Fund Challenge - NI university startups wanted

by Startacus Admin
Applications now open for students and academics at NI universities with innovative ideas to enter the Techstart and Creator Fund Challenge
If you’re a student or academic at Ulster University or Queens University Belfast with an innovative business idea, then this is well worth a look. Creator Fund and Techstart have just come together to launch the "Techstart and Creator Fund Challenge".
They are seeking Northern Ireland's most exciting university startups to enter this fab competition where they can:
-
Win up to £35k of grant funding
-
Receive mentorship and training sessions
-
Pitch in front of investors from across the UK
10 entrants will be selected to deliver a virtual pitch on 9th June 2021 to a panel which will include the Creator Fund and TechStart investors, alongside guest judge Paul Taylor (Founder & CEO of Thought Machine). From those, 3 winners will then be chosen - 1 overall winner who will nab the £35k prize and 2 runners-up who will each get £10k.
So whether you’ve already got an innovative idea or you’d like to kickstart your idea and develop your MVP, this could be the perfect way to do it.
If you’re interested in entering, it’s a pretty straightforward process. You simply need to submit a 1 minute video pitch by midnight on Monday 26th April 2021.
And if you’d like a little more info before you do just that, you can attend the kick-off event at 5pm on 24th March! As well as hearing more details on what the competition is all about and what they’re looking for, you’ll also get the chance to hear from guest judge Paul Taylor and how he got where he is today.
Best of luck to all of you who enter!
