TechHub heads North

by Startacus Admin
Aiming for Manchester to be a top 5 European Startup Destination, TechHub Manchester will be opening in November as a shared workspace with both hot-desk and resident desk space for both drop in and permanent startups.
Startacus, based in a coworking space itself, appreciates some of the benefits that an open and shared workspace can give to the startup experience. Apart from the obvious banter that working alongside other people can provide, a shared workspace can offer a collaborative environment and atmosphere that is conducive to individual teams and people motivating each other on as a collective.
So we were glad to hear that TechHub, well known as a shared workspace in London, was spreading its' wings to (some would say) the spiritual capital of the North and setting up a base in Manchester.
Set up by four co founders based in and around Manchester with Tech and Startup experience, TechHub Manchester, aims to support and stimulate the startup scene and also offer a unifying hub for self starters to come together, work, collaborate and network in the one place.
With a good Tech and Startup scene in the Manchester area, it is understandable that TechHub sees Manchester as an obvious base for the North and also allows local startups, to remain just that - local, and not overly reliant on London as the entrepreneurial capital. Having also recently reported on the MADE Entrepreneur Festival in Sheffield, Startacus loves the fact that the self starter scene is not just clustered in one or two main areas as well!
Collaborative thinking and working is rather in vogue at the moment and we ourselves are looking forward to unleashing our own Startacus Collaboration section soon, where members will be able to upload and share ideas and projects, seek and offer member support and advice, and get partners and mentors to help transform those ideas into an actual reality! Exciting times ahead!
So we'd like to wish TechHub Manchester well when it opens in the next few weeks and hope to take a visit when next in sunny Manchester too.
