Tech startups in telecom infrastructure sought for BT run competition

by Startacus Admin

BT and the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) have launched the third annual competition for startups in telecom infrastructure to join the UK’s TIP Ecosystem Acceleration Centre (TEAC), based at the BT Innovation Labs in Martlesham, Suffolk.
5G networks will deliver a platform which enables a new set of applications and business models reliant on high bandwidth, low latency and reliability, and this year’s competition is seeking innovative startups with services which can deliver business or social benefits by utilising Edge Computing or 5G Private Network Infrastructure.
This is the second year BT has run the competition, with this year's focus being on Intent Based Networking and Rural Mobile Coverage Solutions. In partnership with TIP, several of the world’s largest Telecom Service Providers are hosting TEACs in the UK, Paris, Seoul and Germany.
Selected startups will get the opportunity to develop their solution with BT, utilising Adastral Park’s hardware and testing facilities where required, work directly with BT's experienced research teams, gain membership of Innovation Martlesham, progress your company's journey making new contacts through BT and expand your network within the Telecom Infra Project and TEAC community.
The final judging panel will be made up of assessors from BT and TIP, with the finals held at BT Tower, London on 5 December 2019.
To apply and for further details, head here! Closing date for applications is 1st November 2019 and good luck to all who apply!
