ICONS Festival
ICONS Festival is a four-day festival of inspiration and action across Tech, Music and Screen. The idea behind the festival is to give the icons of today the opportunity to inspire the icons of tomorrow.
This year’s event which is being hosted in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter is expected to attract some 20,000 attendees from September 24th to 27th and will host a broad range of speakers and artists from across the world of Tech, Music, and Screen including Chuck D from Public Enemy, Hollywood Senior Exec Bill Daly and PicsArt US GM Wilson Kriegel.

The Pitch Competition
The folks at ICONS Festival have teamed up with the good people at 500 Startups to deliver a pitching competition with a truly unique offering to startups; the winner will have a chance to secure a place on the 500 Startups accelerator programme in San Francisco.
The pitch competition will run for 2 days from September 24th to 25th and will provide startups with pitch training and mentoring to help them make the most of the opportunity, as well as the chance to be matched with interested investors.
The winning company will be fast-tracked for an interview to join global companies in the
January 2016 intake of the 500 Startups accelerator programme in San Francisco.
Startup companies selected for ICONS will receive the following incredible package:
- FREE exhibition space and four day pass to ICONS
- Investor matching with leading VCs and angels
- Curated roundtables with potential partners
- Pitch competition with 500 Startups and chance to FAST-TRACK to final interview
500 Startups
The aforementioned San Francisco based accelerator program from 500 Startups offers access to expert mentorship, hands-on sessions with startup experts, as well as collaborative co-working space and $100K investment in exchange for just 5% equity!
Who Should Apply?
The ICONS Festival is really keen to hear from ambitious and highly motivated technology startups, but especially market-ready ones working innovative technologies within VR, Wearables, FinTech, or B2B.
ICONS Festival CEO, and tech entrepreneur Aaron Taylor, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to not only get to pitch to an incredible array of investors, but to also test yourself against the best tech companies in Europe.”
