Claudia Lindstrom is a co-Founder at three30.co.uk a new startup that aims to help teachers make informed decisions about their careers. Claudia shares below their current crowdfunding pitch which explains more on the journey of three30.co.uk to date and their plans for the future...
"After many years developing the idea, we decided before Christmas that it was the right time for our venture to begin. three30.co.uk has been created by teachers for teachers.
three30.co.uk website will help teachers make informed decisions about their careers. Which include professional discussions boards for individuals to ask questions about topics such as condition of service and gain professional advice.
We embarked on this venture as we saw a gap in the market. When going for interviews teachers are expected to make decisions about jobs on the day of interview. Which can be difficult as sometimes you feel you need more time to research a workplace. This site will help teachers find out information about schools from the people who work there in an anonymous setting, before the interview process.
Teachers like all professions deserve the best from their employers from CPD opportunities to how valued teachers feel to work/life balance. three30.co.uk aims to assist teachers at all levels to make the right choice.
As full time teachers, who, to date have self funded the project and worked on it evenings and weekends, we are now seeking support to move the project forward. We require funding for equipment, website support, marketing and advertising. To date we have tried to grow the venture organically through our social media networks but are now at the stage where we need to have a large marketing push.
The issues and barriers that we have faced over the last few months have been due to limited funds to get a complex website from story board to a live site. Our time has been limited and our main issue has been increasing our user database, without a marketing/advertising campaign.
Moving forward we aim to be the ‘go to’ website for teachers seeking career advice. To do this we need to increase our user database. To enable us to generate income by building an advertising platform, to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for teachers searching for new jobs and career advice to facilitate the successful matching of teachers and schools.
Our site is aimed at teachers, however most people will have a vested interest as without enthusiastic happy teachers the next generation of future employers (our children) will not be equipped with the skill set to continue to move the workplace forwards in the competitive world that we live in.
We hope that you are able to support our venture and look forward to moving three30.co.uk into a successful national and potential international business."Subscribe to our newsletter
