Taggled.tv Wins a Place at Top European Tech Event

by Startacus Admin
Those of you who are fashionably inclined will no doubt remember that a few months ago we did a feature on très très chic Belfast based v-commerce startup Taggled.tv and now, just in time for London Fashion Week, they have some rather exciting news to share. But before we get to that, here’s a reminder of what Taggled is all about.
Concentrating (for the time being) on the fashion sector, Taggled allows you to watch an online fashion video, click on the various ‘tagged’ clothing links that appear and be directed straight to the products - and that all important shopping cart to make your purchase.
Simple but incredibly clever and it seems we arent the only ones who think so as Taggled has just won a coveted place at the prestigious The Next Web Europe conference and will be exhibiting their creation on 24th and 25th of April at the event in Amsterdam.
The Next Web conference is one of the world largest web focused events and is an opportunity for industry movers, shakers and up-and-comers to get together to chew over the latest web trends, learn about best business practices and meet leading influencers in the world of technology & innovation.
As just one of 70 startups selected from across Europe, Taggled will be participating in the conference’s 'Boost' programme, where early stage companies can connect with all the resources they need to grow including; financial support, marketing and establishing a customer base. The programme has many prestigious alumni including Waze, Rapportive and Shutl who all went on to sell £millions in the years after their launch at The Next Web.
As you can imagine, the Taggled team (including Startacus member Catherine Morris) have been jumping up and down with excitement at being selected, and once the initial bouncing had ceased, Taggled CEO, Ian Scott had this to say:
"We are really honoured to be selected to present at The Next Web. Our aim as a company is to revolutionise the internet by making video interactive and driving new product sales, so it’s a huge boost for us to be able to present our technology at such a major event."
A huge congratulations to the team at Taggled, we look forward to seeing what exciting adventures you get up to over in Amsterdam!
