Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs

by Startacus Admin
Now in its seventh year, the Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs is currently looking for entries, but with only a matter of weeks before the closing date, time is of the essence.
The award which is sponsored by the founder of easyJet, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability aims to both support disabled entrepreneurs and at the same time highlight and promote an awareness of the skills, inventiveness and ingenuity of those with disabilities.
Entrants must complete an online application form outlining some basic info about their businesses, any challenges they’ve faced, future plans and also what sort of impact winning the £50,000 prize could have to their business and long term strategy.
The entrepreneur who can best demonstrate just how much of a difference winning this money could have will be deemed the winner. Of course as much as winning the money would be pretty awesome, the knock-on benefit of all the media coverage that will be given to the winner could prove to be even more valuable to one lucky entrepreneur.
One of the other great things about this award is that you can actually nominate someone for entry - if you feel they would be a worthy winner, then simply get the ball rolling by nominating them and then passing them on the application form to add in all the finer details about their business.
All applications must be in by 5pm on Friday 25 October 2013 and the winner will be selected in December. What a way to end the year for one lucky entrepreneur.
Good luck to any of you who apply!
