Startups within Cyber Security take note - Cyber London (CyLon) Accelerator wants you

by Startacus Admin
CyLon, Europe's first cyber security accelerator, is on the hunt for innovative cyber security startups to apply for Cohort 4 - their latest 3 month accelerator programme which closes for applications on Thursday 25th August.
Startacus loves to shout out about opportunities that could help innovative startups to grow and scale - here are the details to help get your application ‘locked in’ before the closing date (25th August).
The programme
Based in London, CyLon is a 3 month accelerator programme that offers some of the most promising cyber entrepreneurs the training necessary to build and grow a successful company - by nurturing their startups through the early stages of growth. It will also invest in them £15k for 3% equity.
During the program, CyLon connects teams to a wide network of mentors (most of whom have deep cybersecurity expertise), potential customers, investors, and support networks.
The programme culminates with a Demo Day, allowing participants to present their products, progress, and potential to a range of partners and investors.
With 23 alumni already accelerated through the programme, CyLon is already celebrating having helped Cyber Security Startups to flourish and grow, with over 60% of them raising capital via an investment round.
Who are they looking for and what is on offer?
Cyber Security is the key here. If you are developing innovative and disruptive cyber security solutions, in anything from blockchain to biometric authentication, the folk from CyLon would love to hear from you. Read here a little more as to what CyLon defines as Cyber Security.
They are open to applications from a variety of industry sectors - from defence to retail, telecoms to financial services technology, digital media industries to health services. Early stage / concept startups as well as later-stage security businesses are welcome to apply.
Applications from startups from around the world are sought, as long as the Founder / Startup team can work legally in the UK for the duration of the programme.
Timescales
Founded by some of the UK’s leading technology experts and investors, including Alex van Someren (Managing Partner, Early Stage at Amadeus Capital Partners), Jonathan Luff & Grace Cassy (Epsilon Advisory Partners) the London based programme itself will run from late-September to mid-December.
However the deadline for applications is the 25th August 2016 (by 23:59 GMT) and head to www.cylonlab.com for more info and answers to a whole load of FAQs you may have. Applications can then be made via this handy link here.
