Startups pitch to win Self Starter of the Year Award

by Startacus Admin
With the Startaclaus 12 days of Christmas business giveaways over for another year, you'd think we would be grabbing a few days rest. And yes, like many of you fellow startup, self starter and leading entrepreneurial lights, we will shortly be bedding down for a couple days of festive cheer. But first...
Back at the end of Feb our annual Self Starter of the Week awards returned. Since March and pretty much every week since, we have awarded one Startacus member with the acclaimed Self Starter of the Week title. Check our 2014 Hall of Fame for proof of that.
And now we’re down to the nitty gritty. Each Self Starter of the Week can now pitch to us in 200 words or less, why they should be considered for the Self Starter of the Year accolade by outlining why they should be the Self Starter of the Year and what they would do with the fab prizes on offer.
'Prizes?' I hear you cry. Well you can find out about what's on offer here
So to all the 2014 Self Starters of the Week, here’s all the details worth noting.
-
All Self Starter of the Week awardees will have until Monday 12th January 2015 to get those all important pitches over to us
-
Simply Email iam@startacus.net - your pitch can be simply written in the email itself, or attached as a Word doc, Google Doc or PDF - it’s up to you!
-
The Startacus team and key prize sponsor Marketest will review and consider all pitches and select and announce a top 8 on Monday 19th January 2015
-
The top 8 and their pitches will then be on show to the general public and whoever gets the most votes until Monday 26th January wins. Simple.
-
The 2014 Self Starter of the Year will then be announced on that Wednesday 28th January. What a great start to the New Year for one lucky self starter!
We look forward to receiving some great pitches and reporting back with the 8 selected Self Starter of the Year finalists and how you can then vote for your favourite.
At this point we should also say a big “thank you” to key sponsor Marketest and all the other gift bearers for getting involved and supporting the Award. A big virtual high five and merry business to you all.
If you want to be considered as a future self starter / self starter of the week/ Year then make sure to register on Startacus - it's fab and free and here's a few other reasons why you should join.
