Startup Tinggly causes global sensations

by Startacus Admin
Admittedly I was struggling a little with one particular Christmas gift this year.
You see, in my wife's family, we do a gloriously large version of Secret Santa - 20 or so family members and partners all pulling names out of a hat. The name you pick out, you buy a Christmas present for, but all remains a secret, until Christmas Day. Simples.
However, this year buying a present for one particular person was proving not so simple. Until that is I heard about this fab startup, who fingers crossed have just solved my big problem and with admittedly a rather simple solution.
Enter Tinggly who are aiming to take experiential presents to a whole new level! Think Red Letter days, but all over the world, and incredible cool experiences to boot.
So how does Tinggly work and who's their target demographic?
Tinggly offers an array of hand-picked, quality experiences, structured around a simple three tier pricing system which currently begins at £80. Once a price point is picked and the gift is given, the recipient will freely browse the fab collection of experiences before making their choice. A helicopter flight over Las Vegas, a bungee jump at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, a walk with lions - there's a mega big list of experiences to choose from. And the best news, especially for the indecisive, is that there's no rush either – each activity holds a two year validity.
Linas Ceikus, Tinggly co-founder, explained a little more:
“Tinggly offers the best experiences on the planet structured in a simplistic, user friendly way. We are so excited about the potential here.
“In my opinion, there has been a subtle shift away from material gifts, with an increasing amount of importance placed upon experiences and emotions. Looking for the perfect gift for a family member living abroad? Perhaps a friend is planning a worldwide adventure? As well as being appropriate for everyday gifting for those close by, Tinggly offers the perfect solution for giving the best experiences on the planet to those living in different countries!”
Tinggly boasts hundreds of hand-picked experiences from more than 50 countries and we reckon this is a business to keep an eye on over the next few months.
And the best news for all our readers is that Tinggly have kindly offered up an experience package worth £80 to one lucky winner as part of our 12 days of business giveaways this Crimbo (care of the big man Startaclaus himself).
Cheers guys, and as we like to say, "A merry business to you all."
