Startup Stay - the entrepreneurs' travel community...

by Startacus Admin
From the outside looking in, the world of Startups is a pretty vibrant one. The pace seems fast, there are seemingly endless Startup events, networking meetups and conferences to attend, as well of course as the constant flow of meetings with potential clients, business partners or investors. However as much as this may sound exciting, the reality for many Startups is that the financial implications of actually attending these events and meetings can be a real issue. The travel and accommodation costs associated with these can in some cases prevent people actually attending. After all, when you are in the midst of starting a business, every penny counts. An excellent new Startup though is all set to alleviate at least some of the burden - most notably the costs of finding accommodation wherever the event or meeting is. Startup Stay is a new platform which is aiming to revolutionize the way that entrepreneurs travel.
Members can use the platform to seek out other entrepreneurs who they can stay with when they travel to another city. At no charge! Whilst the “guest” is obviously benefiting from the cost savings in accommodation expenses, both they and the “host” are benefiting from the networking opportunity. Startup Stay is providing like minded entrepreneurial people with the opportunity to share ideas and information, gain valuable business contacts from each other and also potentially build business relationships. Of course, if you would still prefer to stay in a hotel room or the like, the site can still be beneficial. Users can use it to promote their itineraries when in another city and interested parties can then request meetings at mutually convenient times.
Whilst there are a plethora of sites out there targeting the “home stay” or “spare room” market, this one is really unique in the target market that it is chasing. And since Startup people tend to think they are all pretty unique too, then it seems to be a perfect match. The site is currently in beta, but invites can be requested.
