Startup Saturdays

by Startacus Admin
Back at the end of January we highlighted the Emma Jones and Enterprise Nation inspired Startup Workshops that are running across London in IKEA stores during the rather handy evening time (for those with full time and day time commitments) of 7pm - 9pm.
At an also rather reasonable £20 these workshops were aimed at inspiring and motivating attendees to do ‘that thing’,‘start that business’ or ‘take that idea’ and make it a reality. Click this Startup Workshops link to find out more about this initiative and also all the dates and times that matter.
Emma’s other initiative ‘StartUp Saturday’ has also been well acclaimed and has helped make a real difference to many potential and early stage self starters.
We were glad then to hear that the Startup Saturday class is back and whilst they will have a base and 6 sessions from now until November at the British Library in London, there will also be a tour heading right across the UK heading to the cities of Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool, Belfast, Edinburgh, and Birmingham.
Again at a cost effective price of £30 these Saturday daytime events will cover some pretty major startup topics:
- How to uncover your BIG Idea and research the market
- 5 points to include in a business plan
- The must-do’s – register the company and protect your brand
- Straightforward finance and easy budgeting techniques
- Setup tips on office tech, furnishings & fashion!
- All things web – building a home online
- Simple sales roadmap and cold-calling made easy
- Make some noise! Successful marketing on a budget
- 5 essential social media tools and how to make the most of them
- Teamwork – how to grow the business without outgrowing the home
If you are interested in going to one of these events check out the locations, dates and times below - we’ve added a direct link for you, should you wish to book tickets. You can’t get handier than that!
