Startup of the Week - Zoolafix

by Startacus Admin
If partying is your thing, then our latest Startup of the Week will be right up your street.
Zoolafix is an innovative new online marketplace which connects local partygoers (or Fixers) with guests who want to try out authentic nightlife experiences when they're in unfamiliar cities. Tourist traps be gone!
It works in a pretty straightforward way.
Basically Fixers create online profiles about themselves - outlining everything from the types of clubs and parties they enjoy through to the languages that they speak and their fee for an evening - incidentally fees are typically between £70 - £250 and Zoolafix take a 20% commission on all fees earned.
Guests can then browse these online profiles, find a Fixer whose nightlife interests most match their own and then request a booking. Before requesting a booking though, Guests have the option to use the platform’s messaging service to make contact with the Fixer and ask them any questions they may have.
Safety and trust are of course of paramount importance for a platform such as this so all Fixers are verified and checked out before their profile goes live on the site and all Guests are encouraged to post reviews of Fixers in order to in turn help other users.
Fixers are generally available for up to 6 hours and will take responsibility for everything from getting tickets sorted for particular clubs through to booking taxis for the journey home. Their primary goal is to ensure that guests have a good time in a new or unfamiliar city and provide that local knowledge that no guide book ever could. Add to that the fact that Zoolafix provides a great way of earning a bit of cash and you can see why it’d be worth all you party people getting on board.
At the moment the platform is mainly concentrating on London and New York but the plans are to go well beyond those two cities - fab though they both are!
Our thoughts? Well...the sharing economy is here to stay and we reckon that Zoolafix is one to watch!
