Startup of the Week - Yarny

by Startacus Admin
One of the biggest problems that writers face, even the most accomplished ones, is the problem of things getting in the way - yes - distractions. It’s probably the reason why most writers have their own little spaces away from everyone and everything where they can let those creative juices flow. However as we all know writers have regular lives too so it’s not always possible to be locked away and not emerge until that book or play has been written. So what happens when you want to add to your work and you’re nowhere near your own little writing den? Well, you could always jot down some notes in the trusty old Moleskine or even better than that, you could use our latest Startup of the Week, Yarny and work wherever you happen to be.
Yarny is a Web app for writers that sits entirely on the cloud. Users can access their work from anywhere and don’t need to worry about backing it up as their work is automatically saved all the time. Writing can be organised into different sections for people, places and things, you can work on several pieces at once and set yourself word count targets. One of the best features is the fact that as soon as you start typing, all visual distractions disappear and you are left with just your words on the paper.
Since its launch, Yarny has been acclaimed by writers of all levels and we reckon rightly so. If writing is your thing, this innovative tool is certainly worth a look.
