Startup of the Week - WoofAdvisor

by Startacus Admin
If you’re a dog owner you’ll no doubt be only too aware of the challenges which can arise when you’re planning a break and you’re faced with the dilemma of what to do with your beloved Fido when you’re away.
In an ideal world you’d of course take your pet with you - he/she is part of the family after all! However since finding pet-friendly accommodation and the like can be pretty difficult, you’re often left with no option but to use the local kennel.
Well...we reckon you’ll be pleased to hear that thanks to our latest Startup of the Week that need no longer be the case.
WoofAdvisor is an online platform which has a mission of helping “the community of caring, devoted pet lovers around the world plan and enjoy their travels with their pets”.

The aim is for the platform to become the definitive resource for any dog lover seeking to explore travel options with their canine pal.
There are currently three main ways in which you can use the site. You can:
- Search for everything from reviews of pet-friendly accommodation and amenities through to pet services in your destination of choice.
- Check out the useful articles, guides and tips on all aspects of pet care, travel and behaviour
- Use the Trip Planner function and see your entire route and the services you could avail of plotted out on an interactive map
Of course if you are a pet-friendly hotel or B&B owner or offer some sort of pet service, you can create your own profile on the site and thereby get your accommodation or service listed and thereby promoted - and all for free!
WoofAdvisor is one of those platforms which has the potential to become a pretty big deal. After all, very few of us would plan a holiday or trip without doing a little online research on where to go and what to do, so it makes sense to extend that research on behalf of our four-legged friends.
