Startup of the Week - Wishmindr

by Startacus Admin
If you’re one of those people who hates Christmas shopping and the stress of buying presents and wondering if what you buy is really what the recipient wants, then our latest Startup of the Week could be right up your street. Wishmindr could help solve your present buying problems forever - and not just at Christmas time.
Wishmindr is an online wish-list maker and reminder service.
Basically, the site features images of thousands of products from leading online retailers such as Amazon, Ebay and Shopstyle. Users can browse these images and create wish-lists of their favourite things for whatever occasion they like - from birthdays, to Christmas to holidays.
Lists can then be shared with friends and family so they have a proper insight into what someone would actually like as opposed to what they think they would like.
And just in case they’re forgotten, Wishmindr sends out handy little reminders too - so there’s no excuse for not knowing what to buy any more.
Since creating wish-lists like this is deemed socially acceptable for some occasions, like wedding lists for example, there is really no reason why it shouldn’t be the case for other occasions too.
Whether you’re a present buyer or a recipient, we reckon you’ll find Wishmindr pretty useful.
And if it prevents you from getting yet another pair of socks from Auntie Mabel or stops you from tearing your hair out when trying to choose a present for your brother, then surely you’ve gotta love it.
It might be a tad late for creating and sharing your Christmas list this year, but 2013 is a whole different story...
