Startup of the Week - Uppbeat

by Startacus Admin
Uppbeat is an innovative music platform for content creators to find the perfect tracks for their videos, without any copyright issues or challenges...
If you’re a video content creator, a podcaster or a YouTuber, chances are you’ve had a challenge finding the right track to accompany your videos. There are of course the copyright issues, so you’ve probably had to either pay a quite costly music license subscription or perhaps select a track from YouTube’s Audio Library. Whilst doing this can help prevent any copyright claims, the choice isn’t always that inspiring.
Until now that is - thanks to our latest startup of the week.
Uppbeat is a free music platform for YouTubers and content creators that is on a mission to remove the barriers to high-quality, legitimate music.
The platform has been built specifically for content creators - no matter what channel they use - whether that is YouTube, TikTok , Twitch or wherever.
The tracks featured on the platform are an eclectic mix and have been created by music producers, composers and indie artists from around the world. Uppbeat’s catalog is diverse in nature and the aim is that you’ll easily find something to complement the content you are creating - from a comedy sketch through to a tutorial video.
If you join the platform, as a free user, you can download ten full-length tracks each month, which you can use without risking any copyright claims. Alternatively, there is a Premium option which costs $6.99 USD per month and which will give you unlimited and unrestricted access to Uppbeat’s catalog.
As well as being used by individual content creators, the platform can also be used by small businesses, provided they have less than 10 employees and their content isn’t paid advertising.
Since its launch in January, Uppbeat has well over 1000 tracks available for users with more being added all the time. Incidentally, the Uppbeat platform has been created by Leeds-based startup Music Vine, so you can rest assured that the artists behind those tracks are being paid fairly for their music.
It’s therefore a win-win for all - the content creators and the beatmakers and indie artists alike!
