Startup of the Week - Twine

by Startacus Admin
Let’s face it. No matter what type of company you start, chances are you will need to avail of the services of a creative at some point. You might need a Graphic Designer to create your logo or a Photographer to take some pics for your website.
Either way, it generally can be a bit of a chore to find the right person for the job at hand. However, that need no longer be the case, thanks to our latest Startup of the Week.
Twine is an online marketplace and professional network for creative freelancers.
Here's how it works: Each creative creates a profile on the platform and showcases their portfolio of work and also any contributions they have made to other projects.
Companies simply post a brief of the project they need help with. The creatives then pitch to undertake said project and then the companies choose which creative they’d like to hire.
In relation to engaging on a project, both creatives and buyers are protected since the entire payment process is managed through Twine.
If you’re a creative, Twine is a great place to showcase what you’re about, make some new connections and ultimately get more work!
Likewise, if you’re needing to hire a creative, it’s the perfect place to do so. The sourcing, hiring and payment process couldn’t be simpler and with over 180,000 creatives currently within the Twine community, you have a a pretty impressive pool to choose from!
Twine may be a straightforward enough concept but it’s certainly a very effective one.
We like it.
Lots.
