Startup of the Week - True View

by Startacus Admin
Hearts. Flowers. Chocolates. They’re everywhere this week. Well...in more places than normal…
Why?
Well the fact that a certain Valentine’s Day is almost upon us ought to give you a clue.
No better time then to highlight a Startup of the Week which is aiming to shake the world of online dating up once and for all.
True View is a mobile app which claims to be the ‘new way to connect...to let people meet the true you.’
With True View it’s not about filling out a lengthy profile or bio in the hope that you sell yourself sufficiently so that you can get matched to someone who is ideal for you in every way - because let’s face it - with most dating sites that very rarely occurs!
Instead, you use True View just like you would a regular social network - you can check in and log what you’re up to - from the restaurant you’re eating in to the film you’ve just seen. By using data about your real interests the app matches you with people who you actually have stuff in common with! A simple idea but novel nonetheless!
Since for most of us, Facebook, Twitter et al are integral parts of our day to day lives - using an app like True View to help us find a date seems like a pretty logical and natural thing to do.
The app itself by all accounts is easy to use, intuitive and far removed from the stereotypical dating site or platform - and that’s surely no bad thing!
What we love most of all though is True View’s simple strapline - “Don’t Sell Yourself. Be Yourself.”
Simple. Effective. Real.
What’s not to love about that...
