Startup of the Week - TeePublic

by Startacus Admin
T-shirts are one of those wardrobe staples that pretty much everyone owns, so it’s more or less a given that if you’re a startup in the t-shirt world you’ll need to be doing something innovative or truly unique if you’re going to stand out. However, it’s not just about having a quirky design or an eye-catching slogan - there has to be something else. And it is that ‘something else’ which our latest Startup of the Week has in abundance.
TeePublic is a platform where you can discover, support and promote t-shirt designs that have been created by a community of artists from all across the world.
In essence, it’s crowdfunding for t-shirts!
If you’re an artist, you can upload a design and then try and get 30 people to ‘fund’ your design. If you do, TeePublic will then print your design and ship it to all those who funded it.
And you’ll get a commission of $5 for every t-shirt that’s sold.
The great thing is that once a t-shirt is funded, the design stays on the site, so you can keep earning money from it. Not only that though - there are no limits to the number of designs you can add so you could actually have an entire virtual store filled with your designs and potentially make lots more money!
If you’re a fan of supporting design and creativity, you’ll love this site too. We certainly do.
Check out the short video below that’ll give you a little glimpse of what it’s all about.
