Startup of the Week - Tandem

by Startacus Admin
Tandem, the language learning app that makes the process a whole lot easier...

It’d be much better if we did something constructive - something that we’ve meant to do for ages but just didn’t - like learning a language perhaps.
Well...the good news is that our latest startup of the week can help us do just that.
Tandem is a language learning app that lets you practice your languages with native speakers.
Here’s how it works:
Simply create your profile and select the language you want to learn and what your learning goals are - from improving your pronunciation to becoming fluent - it’s up to you. Then add in some info on the type of Tandem partner you would like. For example, you might want someone with similar interests or someone who shares the same sense of humour. You decide! You can then search for native speakers of your chosen language within the Tandem community and send a message to get the conversation started.
You can connect with native speakers all over the world and speak with them via text, audio or video chat. You’ll be learning from them and they’ll be learning your language in exchange.
It’s straightforward to use and you have full control over your learning style, how you learn and when you learn.
Whether you’d like to learn a new language from scratch or simply improve your vocabulary or pronunciation in another, Tandem can help. And right now could prove the perfect time to do it…
