Startup of the Week - Sherpr

by Startacus Admin
Sherpr - The travel startup that's making shipping sports equipment a doddle by offering a door to door service...

If you’ve ever had to travel with sports equipment, you’ll know only too well that it can be a bit of a hassle.
After all airports can be stressful enough without having to worry about ensuring your prized golf clubs or your mountain bike get to your holiday destination in one piece. You might be quite content to see your suitcase disappearing down the conveyor belt at the check-in desk but your beloved Big Bertha? That’s a whole other story…
Help is now at hand however thanks to our latest startup of the week.
Sherpr is a no hassle, premium door to door service for shipping your sports equipment.
No need to worry about lugging your equipment to and from the airport or paying those expensive excess baggage fees... Sherpr will take care of it all for you.
Here’s how it works:
Firstly you can get a quote by selecting where the equipment is to be collected form and which country it is to go to, the dates that apply and exactly how many items you need to be shipped. Happy with the quote? You can then book the shipping by selecting the Buy Now option.
Labels can be printed off to attach to your equipment and then it’s just a matter of getting your items collected by one of Sherpr’s couriers and letting the journey begin. In most cases, your equipment will be collected ahead of your own travel so that it’s ready and waiting for you when you reach your destination.
Sherpr also provides a range of premium packaging which you can purchase. The packaging on offer includes everything from bike boxes through to custom made boxes for skis or snowboards. They’ve all been created to ensure that sports equipment is given the maximum protection when in transit and they’ve all been designed to be reusable.
It may be still relatively early days for this travel related startup but we reckon it’s definitely one to watch.
