Startup of the Week - SalesGossip

by Startacus Admin
We’re all only too aware of the plight of the high street over the last few years so anything that is doing its bit to help the good ol’ retail sector is fine by us - and that’s exactly one of the missions of our latest Startup of the Week.
SalesGossip is an online platform which collates info about all things fashion and more importantly all things ‘sales’ related.
So, if you want to find out about flash sales, pop-up sales, promos, discounts or otherwise, this is the place to go and since membership is free, it’s a must for money savvy shoppers. Users can use the site to search for sales based on their location, the brands they’re interested in or even the types of outfits that they’re looking for.
Since unsold stock is an issue faced by many retailers at one time or another, having a dedicated portal to highlight offers and promos makes perfect sense.
This is not a basic advertising portal however - Sales Gossip works directly with retailers to ensure that promotions are tailored and marketed to the right type of target audience, thereby increasing its value and offering.
The internet has often been declared to be the enemy of the high street but when there are online platforms like this which are helping drive footfall back into stores and ultimately increasing sales revenue, that’s surely a tad unfair.
Whether you’re a fashionista, a bargain hunter, a retailer or simply a fan of innovative startups, we reckon you’ll like SalesGossip. We do. Lots.
