Startup of the Week - Robotify Vivero

The startup that's teaching coding by enabling children to control real life robots remotely...

Our latest startup of the week have identified this issue and have created an innovative solution.
Robotify Vivero is a new platform which is on a mission to “teach kids how to code, bot by bot.”
The platform will enable children to learn how to code, by controlling real life robots based at Robotify HQ in Dublin.
Users can currently undertake some online crash courses which will teach them the fundamentals of programming and coding. The 90 minute classes cover:
- Basic Programming Terminology
- Electronics
- Internet of Things
- Maths
- Operators
- Variables
- If statements
- Loops
- Blockly graphical programming
Completing these, users will be able to see in real time, how a robot responds to a piece of code and thereby understand much better the principles of coding and how it all works in practice. Robotify Vivero is in effect teaching coding whilst providing learners with access to remotely controlled robots - a much more fun way of learning - wouldn’t you agree?
The classes cost just €14.99 - an absolute steal when you consider the costs normally associated with purchasing a robot!
It’s relatively early days for Robotify Vivero but we reckon it is going to go far.
We like what they’re doing.
Lots.
