Startup of the Week - Recyclabox

by Startacus Admin
Recyclabox - The automated kiosk which is changing forever the way that we as consumers sell old electronics...

Whilst most of us are aware that we could probably make a little cash from our unused tech, we often don’t bother trying. After all, online auction sites can seem a little more hassle than they’re worth!
Help is now at hand however thanks to our latest startup of the week.
Recyclabox is an interactive kiosk where you can sell your unwanted tech in a matter of minutes.
Here’s how it works:
At the kiosk, simply enter your basic contact details - your email address and phone number. Then register the products you wish to sell by either scanning their barcode or entering the make, model and spec.
When an item is registered, you will see a quote on screen of the item’s value. If you accept this, you simply deposit the item and then wait for the cash to come rolling in. You will generally get paid between 3-5 days later and the payment can be made into a bank or PayPal account.
It couldn’t be easier!
As you’d expect, the Recyclabox folk are an eco-friendly bunch and aim to refurbish or reuse all items that they buy. Any items that can’t be reused, are generally recycled in line with all e-waste standards and guidelines.
Although it was first set up in a range of supermarkets in Wales, there are now plans afoot to roll these fab recycling kiosks out all across the country. You should therefore expect to see one in your neck of the woods pretty soon.
There’ll be no more excuses then for old tech gathering dust in drawers and cupboards! And our bank balances will be looking a tad healthier too!
What’s not to love about that!
