Startup of the Week - RateSwitch
by Startacus Admin
RateSwitch - The FinTech startup that's making it easier than ever to get the best mortgage rates...
If you’re a homeowner, you’ll know only too well how much of a minefield the mortgage market can be – understanding the terminology alone can be a chore! Of course whilst some of us may be financially savvy and always ensure that we are on the best deal possible, for others the opposite is true. We either never shop around for the best deals at all or if we do, we simply switch mortgage provider, assuming that this is the only way we will get a good deal and make those all-important monthly savings. Our latest startup of the week however is on a mission to ensure that we all are on the best mortgage deal…all of the time!
RateSwitch is “a free online tool to help you save money on your mortgage, the easy way”. It’s a straightforward website to use.
Simply enter some basic information about your existing mortgage – who your provider is, how much you currently owe, how long you have left on your mortgage and the approximate value of your home. RateSwitch will then provide you with a list of various rate options for you to choose from, with your existing lender. You will clearly see how much you would typically save in a year by making the switch to one of your lender’s more competitive deals.
If you do wish to make the switch, it’s a much quicker and easier process than re-mortgaging or switching mortgage provider – in fact in most cases it can be done within 24 hours!
It’s a free service, it’s hassle-free and it saves you money.
RateSwitch – we’re loving your work!
