Startup of the Week - PreApps

by Startacus Admin
If you’re an app developer, you’ll know just how difficult it is to get your app to market and then once it’s there get it noticed. After all, app development and marketing are two very different things - an issue which our latest Startup of the Week is doing its best to rectify.
PreApps is a new platform where apps can be previewed before they actually get released.
The idea is that developers can add their app to the PreApps platform and start to engage with app users and enthusiasts from the off.
Apps can be downloaded, reviewed and rated and developers can in a sense build up a customer base and online following before they actually release their app officially.
By providing exposure and promotion like this, PreApps is seeking to not only help developers with their marketing and giving them a better chance to succeed, but is also helping them get real and valuable insight to consumer feedback. The platform enables developers to start creating a real buzz about their product from the off and that is no bad thing!
Of course there are big benefits too for app users. PreApps gives them an opportunity to have access to new and exciting apps way before anyone else as well as get involved in the development through providing feedback and suggestions. The platform also allows users to submit their own ideas for apps which could potentially get developed.
Recent stats show that there are currently over 1.2 million apps on the market with over 30,000 new ones being submitted every month, therefore if you’re a developer, you really ought to be doing everything you can to get your app noticed. For that reason alone, we reckon using PreApps is an absolute must.
