Startup of the Week - Plotagon

by Startacus Admin
If you’ve ever dabbled in writing stories, you’ve perhaps at one point or another wondered how your story would look if it was ever transferred to the big screen.
Well, thanks to our latest Startup of the Week, the world of “Lights, Camera, Action” has just got a little closer…
Plotagon is a new tool which lets anyone create an animated movie directly from a written screenplay. Yep - you simply write the words and this clever app does the rest.
The app which is currently in beta allows you to select from a cast of 5 characters and 6 urban locations where your story can be set. You can determine how your characters deliver their lines - from the tone of their voice through to the emotions which they display.
Actions, sound effects and cinematic music can all be added, thereby transforming your written words into a proper animated movie.
How awesome is that?
Admittedly the limited choices of character and location are a bit of a drawback. However it’s important to remember that this is still very early days and exciting plans are afoot to add more characters, settings and even sound effects.
Right now though Plotagon has an inbuilt store where you can add to your movie by purchasing new characters and environments such as a Stan Lee created Superhero. Yes. That Stan Lee!
Whether you use Plotagon for educational purposes or simply to help you visualise a story you’ve written, there can be no denying that this is a great tool.
Check out the video below for a little more detail on how it all works.
Then go and try it for yourself. You know you want to….
