Startup of the Week - Pingza

by Startacus Admin

Pingza is an innovative app that “uncorks the complex world of wine for amateur and expert alike” and helps you pick the right wine, every time...

Whether it’s the sheer volume of varieties to choose from, the sometimes confusing lingo and jargon or the inadequacies we feel when faced with the often self-professed wine connoisseurs who always seem to know it all.
If you identify with any of that, then our latest startup of the week will be right up your street.
Pingza is an innovative new app that “uncorks the complex world of wine for amateur and expert alike”.
Rather than choosing a wine simply because it’s on special offer in the supermarket or because we’ve read a review in the Sunday paper, Pingza enables you to choose wines that suit your own personal palate.
They have created an 8 point palate test where you answer questions on everything from your fave desserts through to the scent of your favourite scented candle.
Using their unique algorithm, Pingza can then determine exactly what kind of wines you like and which match your palate profile.
Pingza can recommend wine to suit your taste, what meal you are having and of course your budget! The app also provides lots of background info and tips about each wine, thereby helping you to develop your knowledge with ease.
No more feeling intimidated by elitist wine snobs - with Pingza you’ll develop confidence in both your wine choices and knowledge.
And since we all love a bargain, Pingza has also got an inbuilt price comparison tool enabling you to check prices and therefore not miss out on any special offers!
With an easy to use app and a mission to help everybody understand and choose the right wine, we reckon Pingza are on to a winner with this one …
