Startup of the Week - PawSquad

by Startacus Admin
As a nation of pet lovers, it’d be fair to say that the health and wellbeing of our beloved animals is a priority for most of us. And of course when things aren’t going too well healthwise for our pets, we generally avail of the services of our local vet. That’s simply the way it’s always been - until now that is - thanks to an innovative new startup!
PawSquad is an online platform where pet owners can engage directly with pet care professionals.
Here’s how it works:
Users simply register their pet on the platform, submit some basic info and what the issue seems to be. They can then have a 20 minute video consultation with a Royal Veterinary College qualified and registered vet. The video consultations are available from 6am to midnight every day so you should therefore find a time that will suit. There’s also the added convenience of you being able to have a consultation for your pet without even having to leave your home.
During the consultations, the vet will be able to offer you some advice and support for any issues or concerns you have about your pet. The consultation service is there to cover some of the more general pet needs - from puppy training and nutritional support to the management of ongoing health issues. It’s not a replacement for your local vet - it’s simply a service which will supplement the service your vet provides.
PawSquad are merging the digital and the traditional and they’re providing professional support in such a convenient way.
