Startup of the Week - Paperclip

by Startacus Admin
The lowdown on Paperclip, the startup that is providing customised marketplaces for universities and their students...

Paperclip is an innovative provider of university marketplaces in the UK.
They have created a white label marketplace which universities can avail of for their students. Each marketplace is customized in line with university branding and colours, and Paperclip provide both technical support and customer service. The marketplace provides a space where students can buy, sell and swap together on their university campus.
Not only does this help students to generate some well needed cash, it also enables them to engage with each other and it can also help new students to acclimatise to university life.
All sorts of items can be bought and sold - from books through to clothing and electronic items - all the student essentials!
What is particularly interesting is that Paperclip have not just considered universities. There is a corporate version available too so that organisations can have their own workplace marketplace for their employees to buy and sell together.
Whilst it is still relatively early days for this startup, we reckon it is most certainly one to watch.
Our only gripe?
That it wasn’t around when we were at uni!
