Startup of the Week - Noveltea

by Startacus Admin
Noveltea - The startup that's building on tradition to create an entirely innovative range of beverages...
Let’s face it. Britain will always be a nation of tea lovers although the recent surge in popularity of craft beers and gins may indicate that tea might not always remain the nation’s favourite drink! With artisan breweries and distilleries appearing everywhere, the alcoholic beverages are seemingly having their day!
Step forward two entrepreneurs who, rather than seeing this as a tea vs. alcohol competition, have instead viewed it as an opportunity to start a business and in so doing have become our latest startup of the week.
Noveltea is “the world’s first cold brewed tea with spirit”.
By drawing inspiration from their travels, the Noveltea team have produced a range of drinks which combine somewhat exotic flavours with tea as we typically know it.
They have produced two blends to date:
The Tale of Earl Grey which is a combination of the classic Earl Grey tea and a traditional British gin & The Tale of Tangier which is a fusion of Moroccan green mint tea and rum.
The classic and the exotic!
The drinks can be enjoyed hot or cold and by all accounts are proving to be a pretty popular beverage since they launched last year.
Details of stockists can be found on the Noveltea website and as you’d expect, you can order it from them directly too!
What we really like about this startup is the fact that it’s so innovative. Rather than simply innovating within a tried and tested market of beer or gin drinkers - they are doing something entirely different - namely creating an entirely new segment in the market.
Noveltea - we doff our proverbial caps to you!
