Startup of the Week - NotLost

The lowdown on NotLost, the startup that's making lost property a doddle to manage...

Step forward our latest startup of the week…
NotLost is an innovative startup which has created an “online lost and found software solution that enables organisations to modernise their lost property process”.
Here’s how it works.
Organisations register any found items by taking a photo. A detailed item report is then generated using image recognition software and all items are allocated reference numbers for tagging and storage.
Customer enquiries can be dealt with quickly and efficiently by searching the system using images or dates or even keywords.
NotLost also enables organisations to integrate a lost report form on their websites so that customers can report their lost item at any time, rather than having to wait until the office opens. The result? Fewer time consuming and often irate calls and emails!Returning the items to customers is made easier too since the system gives you the option to provide collection or postal returns, whilst fully tracking the item’s journey from you back to the customer. Should you need to invoice the customer for the cost of returning the item, you can do that directly from the NotLost platform. They handle all the admin for any such transactions.
In essence then, NotLost have created an innovative SaaS solution to an age old problem. Forget that vision of a dusty old lost property office. Those days are gone!
All sorts of businesses have been using Not Lost - everything from shopping centres and hotels through to bus companies and we reckon that its customer base is only going to get bigger.
