Startup of the Week - Music Gateway

by Startacus Admin
If music’s your thing, then we reckon this innovative startup will be right up your street...
Music Gateway is an online platform which is “the world’s first global marketplace for the music and creative industries” and also happens to be our latest Startup of the Week.
Professional musicians, producers and more can use the site to make new connections, collaborate and of course make sweet music together.
In essence there are two distinct user groups who can use the platform - those who are seeking collaborators to help them create or develop a musical project and those music professionals who wish to be discovered and find new work opportunities.
If you’re seeking fellow collaborators, using the platform is a pretty straightforward process.
Firstly, you create a music project, outlining a description of what it will entail, your budgetary requirements and the types of collaborators that you are seeking to get the project off the ground.
Once your project is published and live on the site, relevant users are notified and they can pitch to you - their pitches will indicate how they’d like to get involved and what in particular they can offer you to ensure that your project is created as you’d like.
If on the other hand you’d like to use the platform to find new opportunities, you must firstly create an account. This in a sense is like your online creative portfolio and is what other users would see.
The info that you add to this profile will determine what projects you get notified about, so you’ll need to ensure that it’s always up to date and gives a true reflection of what you’re about.
Once you get notified about a particular project you can pitch for the work and communicate privately with the client to negotiate terms or discuss the finer details etc.
As a platform, Music Gateway is very user friendly and the benefits it offers to music professionals everywhere are immediately apparent.
By opening up new opportunities for musicians to create, connect and collaborate, Music Gateway is a startup which we reckon is on to a winner…
Check out the short video below and we reckon you'll be sure to agree:
