Startup of the Week - Moona

by Startacus Admin
We’ve all been there at one time or another - lying in bed staring at the ceiling wondering if we’ll manage to get any sleep before the dreaded alarm goes off.
It’s pretty much a given that when insomnia strikes it can be pretty difficult to overcome.
However, sleepless nights may soon be a thing of the past, thanks to our latest Startup of the Week.
Moona is an IoT / sleeptech startup which is on a mission to help us not only get more sleep, but get better quality sleep!
The Moona team have been looking at studies and research which have indicated that the sleep we get is closely linked to our temperature. To actually get to sleep, our internal temperature needs to decrease slightly and in order to wake up refreshed and ready for the day, our body temperature needs to increase a little.
With that in mind, they have created Moona - a water-based cooling pillow pad. The pad fits into any standard pillowcase and is linked to a control unit which can be placed under the bed. By regulating the precise temperature of the pillow during the night, Moona responds to our own body’s requirements and most importantly provides the perfect conditions for us to get the sleep we actually need.
The Moona offers three main benefits:
- It tracks and enhances our sleeping patterns
- It wakes us up with a warmer temperature
If you’d like to try Moona for yourself, add your details on their site where they are currently taking names for pre-orders.
After all these years, the secret to a good night’s sleep has finally been revealed!
It’s all to do with thermoregulation! Thank you Moona!
