Startup of the Week - Medimee

by Startacus Admin
Whilst we all know that technology can improve our lives in many ways, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that it can help save lives too. It’s pretty much a given then that innovations and advancements in the medical and healthcare sectors which have the potential to be life-saving ought to be high on our radar.
Innovations such as Medimee - our latest Startup of the Week.
Medimee is “an online emergency platform designed to help save lives”.
It’s an app which enables you to upload and store all your essential medical info. You can use it to store details on everything from medication you’re currently taking, through to any allergies or conditions you may have.
All the most important info - easily accessible - in one place.
However where Medimee really excels is when it comes to emergency situations. The emergency services or first responders can access your profile and get your all important medical info as well as your emergency contact details and info on any medical or travel insurance you may have.
All this can be retrieved from your Medimee profile even if you are unresponsive.
If your profile has been activated, your emergency contacts will also be alerted by text or email and updated on your GPS location.
Medimee also have a range of Wearables - including Wristbands, Smart Cards and stickers - all of which can be linked to your Medimee profile and enable that all important health info to be accessed quickly and with ease.
And let’s face it - in an emergency situation that’s exactly what you would want. After all, time saved can mean a life saved...
Check out the short video below which will give you a little further insight into what Medimee is all about.
