Startup of the Week - LivingHygge

by Startacus Admin
Fed up listening to the media’s gloom and doom merchants? Getting ever more frustrated at hearing how 2016 has been such a dreadful year and how the worst is yet to come?
Yep.
Us too.
It’s therefore always good to hear about things which are altogether more positive, like our latest Startup of the Week, for instance.
LivingHygge is a new startup which is on a mission to celebrate the simple pleasures in life - all things ‘hygge’ in other words.
Hygge, (just in case you aren’t aware) is the Danish concept of how to live well and it's a concept which is becoming ever more popular here. In fact so much so, that the word hygge itself has actually been described by the Collins English Dictionary as one of the words of the year! But we digress...
As the LivingHygge folk put it, hygge means “creating a nice, warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people around you”.
Recognising that more and more of us have a need to do just that, they have created a subscription service which delivers “Hygge in a box” directly to your door every month.
Each month, the box will contain a whole heap of fab items - all aimed at giving recipients a warm, feel good factor inside.
From handmade cards and confectionery through to inspirational notes and crafts to help kickstart creativity, there is something for everyone here.
The underlying aim is for recipients to take some time out from their ever stressful lives and fully appreciate and embrace what actually really matters in life.
That’s something of course that we could probably all benefit from doing. Wouldn’t you agree?
Check out the LivingHygge site for more details on the monthly boxes and the special festive version which has just been launched.
