Startup of the Week - Lirica

by Startacus Admin
Lirica - The musictech & edtech startup that's using music to help people learn a new language...

Lirica is a mobile app which enables users to learn a language using the power of music. The result? It’s more effective than many traditional methods and it’s much more fun!
The Lirica app uses a whole host of artists and their songs to help bring the language to life - from simple love songs through to complex raps - there is something to suit everyone.
Every lesson is tied to a song and enables users to learn everything from grammatical rules through to new vocabulary. The app uses games to help you learn new words and as you’d expect, the more you play, the more you learn!
When you’re listening to a song, you can translate the lyrics, choose to have subtitles or even delve a little into the story behind the song or the artist themselves. By listening to songs in this way, you’ll be expanding your vocabulary and grammatical knowledge and ultimately be learning a language in a much more interactive and fun way.

Right now, Lirica enables users to learn the Spanish language only, however plans are in place to expand the offering and introduce other languages using the same methods of learning.
We love the thinking behind the Lirica app and how easy it is to use and we reckon if you give it a try yourself, you’ll certainly feel the same!
