Startup of the Week - LawBite

The online platform providing legal advice and support for SMEs...
As all small business owners know, it’s essential to get the right legal advice - whether that’s sorting out contracts and terms and conditions for your first employees or ensuring that you have followed the correct process to protect your intellectual property.
They make legal mistakes which can cost them dearly in the long run.
Recognising this issue and its impact on many SMEs, our latest startup of the week is providing a solution.
LawBite is a Lawtech startup which is on a mission to democratise the delivery of business law and thereby help SMEs with their legal requirements.
The premise is quite simple. Via the online LawBite platform, SMEs can engage directly with lawyers and get advice on whatever legal query they may have.
Users can submit an enquiry on the portal, the enquiry is assessed, they are then matched with the most suitable lawyer and a same-day call is arranged between both parties. Users can also get an immediate no-obligation quote of what the fee will be. All the services are provided at a much more affordable rate than a typical high street legal firm. The pricing is clear from the off so there are no nasty surprise invoices down the line!LawBite deals with all sorts of legal issues that an SME is likely to be facing - from Company formation and structure through to Copyright and Licensing. The platform aims to support businesses at all stages from initial start up through to growing and scaling.
Users can get access to the platform’s library of legal documents and contracts, they can upload contracts and other documents for review and advice and all documents and contracts can be added and stored in the cloud thanks to the platform’s Online Legal Document System.
The LawBite platform is supporting SMEs by providing access to both legal resources and legal professionals in an efficient, convenient and affordable way. And as any small business owner would certainly attest to, that can only be a good thing!
