Startup of the Week - KitMapper

by Startacus Admin
Ever had to hire a PA system for a one-off event or needed the use of a projector just for a day?
Then you’ll know only too well that getting the equipment that you need when you need it and at a price that’s right is not always that easy to do.
Likewise if you actually own some AV equipment, chances are you don’t use it all the time. You may however be quite happy to lend it out if you knew someone who needed it. Thanks to our latest Startup of the Week, you soon will!
KitMapper is a peer-to-peer rental platform for audiovisual equipment.
Here’s how it works:
If you own equipment, rather than let it sit there gathering dust when you’re not using it, you can instead list it on KitMapper, add some pics and thereby make your kit available for hire by other users nearby. The result? That unused kit can start bringing you in some money!
A legal rental agreement is provided and KitMapper provides a straightforward system for you to check your kit in and out.
On the other hand, if you need to hire some equipment, you can use KitMapper to see what’s available in your area and make a booking for the kit that you need.
Not only does KitMapper help you access equipment for hire, it can also help you to make connections with other creatives and enthusiasts - connections which you may not otherwise have made.
With KitMapper it’s a win win for all concerned. Those with equipment can make some additional revenue from their unused kit; those needing access to kit can avail of a cheaper rental solution than ever before.
KitMapper - we’re loving your work…
