Startup of the Week - KidsKnowBest

by Startacus Admin
Let’s face it - online reviews and ratings are pretty important to most of us these days. Whether we want to check out other people’s opinions of a particular restaurant or what the general consensus is on the latest blockbuster movie, it’s become the norm to do a little online research in advance of committing either our money or our time.
Of course there are lots of online resources we can avail of - some more reliable than others! However what they all have in common is that they’re all more or less aimed at adults - until now that is.
Our latest startup of the week is on a mission to give children a voice on things that matter to them.
KidsKnowBest is a new platform where children can give their views and opinions on everything from the latest toys, movies and food through to apps and viral trends.
After all, why should a review of a toy be provided by an adult who is making an assumption on how much their child has enjoyed playing with it? Would it not be better to hear the views of other children?
The ultimate aim of the platform is for it to become an online resource and community where families can engage with the content and also use it to make proper informed choices.
It’s still very early days for KidsKnowBest and as is the case with all platforms like this, the more users it has, the more value it provides.
We reckon that this “By Kids. For Families” site is well worth keeping an eye on
In the meantime, why not check out the short video below which will give you a little more insight...
