Startup of the Week - iPrescribe Exercise

by Startacus Admin
iPrescribe Exercise, the personalised and automated physical activity prescription app to help people get active and manage chronic medical conditions...
If there is one thing that the current situation has probably taught us, it is how our health is the most important thing of all. Yes, of course we ought to know that already, but it’d be fair to say that we often take it for granted until the worst happens.
Recognising the need to achieve and maintain good health is at the very core of our latest startup of the week.
iPrescribe Exercise is “a personalised and automated physical activity prescription app to help people get active and manage chronic medical conditions”.
The app analyses your current health status and fitness level and then prescribes a tailored 12 week physical activity plan to suit your needs no matter what your age or fitness level.
However it is especially innovative in the fact that it can also help target 20 chronic diseases and medical conditions, including Cardiovascular Disease, Stroke, Diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis. It can provide users with a personalised exercise programme that will help them to both manage and prevent these conditions.
A range of health and fitness metrics are tracked so that users can fully see the impact that their physical activity programme is having on their health.
Users can choose how they complete their personalised programme - in one session or in several sessions over the course of a day.A whole range of exercise options are available - from GPS tracked walking through to home aerobics videos and all can be completed in the way that works best for you.
As you’d expect, the programme will gradually increase in both time and exercise intensity over the course of the 12 weeks, but the user is ultimately always in control.
iPrescribe Exercise can be used by both individuals wishing to improve their fitness and health as well as by organisations who want to help their members or patients to manage and improve their health and physical activity.
The days of excuses are over - thanks to this personalised exercise prescription app, we all can become more active and of course improve our health in the process.
