Startup of the Week - Hostel Hub

by Startacus Admin
Although over the last few years there has been an unfortunate increase in the numbers of empty and vacant buildings and spaces in many of our town centres, this has in turn led to a distinct increase in new and innovative ways in which those spaces can be used.
The transformation of such spaces is at the very core of our latest Startup of the Week.
Hostel Hub is a startup which is on a mission to transform disused land and buildings into profitable luxury hostels and thereby help to regenerate local communities in the process.
By working in partnership with charities, regional development trusts and local community activists, the Hostel Hub team are aiming to help develop and create an entire network of boutique hostels across the UK - hostels which most importantly will be run by the local communities in which they are based.
If you’re aware of a space in your local area that you feel could be transformed into a boutique hostel, they can help you with everything from doing the initial feasibility study through to creating the business plan. Likewise, if you’re involved in an existing accommodation business which is perhaps struggling at the moment, they could help you turn things around by giving you consultancy support on everything from training your staff through to marketing your business.
As a social enterprise itself, Hostel Hub’s objectives are clear - to help create jobs, to regenerate communities and of course to help generate revenue and stimulate local economies.
Admirable and worthwhile objectives - wouldn’t you agree?
Whilst it’s still relatively early days for this particular startup, we reckon they’re certainly one to watch.
Hostel Hub - we’re loving your work!
