The rise of social networks has seen us all engaging with people in a whole new way - those people generally being friends, family or even colleagues. Whilst we’re busy doing that though we’re often missing out on engaging with the people right beside us - our neighbours. Not all of us are active in our local communities are we?
Well..thanks to our latest Startup of the Week, that could be all set to change.
Hood is a new social networking app which acts as a social noticeboard for your neighbourhood.
You can use Hood in a range of ways including to:
- discover what’s happening where you live - who is selling what, who is hiring, the news and views about local events
- help you develop better relationships with your neighbours and form bonds with people with similar interests to your own
- share information with others - post details of any services you offer, any events you are running or even recommendations and reviews on people and places.
Whether you’re new to an area and want to find out more or you simply want to be more up to date with what’s happening where you are, there will be value in you using Hood.
