Startup of the Week - HeyPlants

by Startacus Admin
Garden enthusiasts take note - HeyPlants is a new online marketplace connecting you directly with local sellers, garden centres and nurseries...
With the lockdown earlier in the year and the ever-changing restrictions ever since, this year has been a difficult time for many. And with most of us spending more time at home than ever before, chances are we have sought out ways to make our homes even nicer places to be. One of the best ways that we can do just that is by adding a little greenery in the form of a plant or some flowers - after all, it doesn’t just look good - it’s good for our minds too.
Of course, this year it’s not been all that easy to pay a trip to the local garden centre.
However, step forward our latest startup of the week which was set up as a result of the challenges brought on by the pandemic!
HeyPlants is an online marketplace connecting garden enthusiasts with local sellers, garden centres and nurseries.
You can use the platform to search for a specific plant and the results will show you all the stores where you can order it from. You also of course can simply browse through the stores on the platform or if you have a favourite store or seller, simply visit and order from their specific store. Once you place your order, the plant will be delivered directly to you.
The stores featured on HeyPlants are all vetted and approved so you can be sure that you will be purchasing quality plants from reputable sellers.
Since its launch, over 3000 garden enthusiasts have signed up to the platform, therefore if you’re a small garden centre or local seller, this is the perfect place to find new customers!
And the HeyPlants team can help you with that by helping you set up your own store on the site, facilitating payments and even assisting with the deliveries to customers, where necessary.
It couldn’t be easier to get started and showcasing your plants to a dedicated and audience of garden and plant enthusiasts.
For local sellers, this is particularly relevant during these challenging times as the platform is providing a much needed resource for them to continue to trade and gain revenue.
There are more nurseries and garden centres being added all the time so if you’re in the mood for a pick-me-up in the form of a new plant for the house or a gift for someone else, this is the best place to do just that.
