Startup of the Week - Hello Fresh

by Startacus Admin
We’ve all been there. Trying to figure out what to cook for that evening’s dinner and then ending up with the ‘convenient’ but unhealthy choice - the frozen pizza. Well, our latest Startup of the Week is seeking to change just that. Hello Fresh is a startup which is trying to make the cooking of tasty, wholesome and healthy meals at home as easy as possible.
On a weekly basis, the Hello Fresh chefs create simple yet interesting and well balanced recipes, all of which only take 30 minutes or less to prepare. Then, the Hello Fresh team work with a range of independent suppliers and source all the ingredients needed for said recipes. What happens next you may ask?
Well, that’s entirely up to you, the user!
You can go on the site, peruse the recipes, choose the meals that most appeal and subscribe.
Hello Fresh will then deliver all the fresh ingredients you will need, together with details of the recipes with step by step photo instructions.
Then you cook it! And then of course tuck in!
The great thing about the subscription service from Hello Fresh is the fact that it is completely flexible - if there are weeks that you don’t particularly fancy any of the featured recipes, you can opt out or else select one of your ‘old favourites’.
Here’s a little video where Patrick, the Hello Fresh Head Chef explains a little more.
Hello Fresh
There’s certainly a real trend at the moment with startups offering subscription services - however they’re not all related to something as fundamentally essential as food! For putting a little innovation into one of life’s basic requirements, we doff our caps (or should that be chefs’ hats) to Hello Fresh!
