Startup of the Week - Guruumee

by Startacus Admin
As we all know, one of the best ways that we can develop our knowledge of something is by getting a little guidance and insight from an expert in the field.
That applies whether we are trying to learn a new language or simply improving how we handle our personal finances.
Of course, finding one of those ‘experts’ can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Until now that is!
Our latest Startup of the Week is on a mission to help us all connect with experts who can help us to realise and achieve our learning goals.
Guruumee is an app which has been described as offering “wisdom on tap”.
Here’s how it works:
You are matched with a Guruu who in essence becomes your mentor. You can interact with them regularly, they can assign you homework or learning tasks and of course monitor your progress.
You can also connect with other mentees that they have and discuss and share ideas and tips and in many ways create your own group learning environment.
There is a small fee for each Guruu session and at least 5% of that fee will be donated to charity.
Of course if on the other hand you’re an expert in a given area, this app is the perfect place for you to share your knowledge and help others learn. You’ll earn money for doing it, and you’ll also be helping charities at the same time.
Guruumee have recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to help them get their innovative app fully off the ground. Why not support them if you can!
In the meantime, check out the short video below which will give you a little further insight into what Guruumee is all about!
