Startup of the Week - FoneSense

Let’s face it - our first thoughts when our phone rings are either positive or negative, depending on who the caller is of course! However, thanks to our latest startup of the week, that ringing phone will always be a pretty positive affair.
FoneSense is a mobile engagement platform which rewards users every time their mobile rings.
Here’s how it works: you simply select your favourite audio adverts. Then whenever your phone rings, it will play your favourite brand jingle. The brand will then reward you with vouchers that can be redeemed at local retailers or online.
The FoneSense app basically checks each incoming call you receive although fear not - it only checks how long your phone rang, the volume level and whether or not your phone was answered. Personal details or details of the caller aren’t recorded!
For users, the app represents a novel way of earning rewards with minimal effort!
For brands, FoneSense represents an entirely innovative way of engaging with consumers and in particular with specific or niche target audiences.
It’s a win-win all round then!
