Startup of the Week - FitXR

by Startacus Admin
FitXR blends fitness and gaming together to give users the ultimate VR and AR experience...

Fitness and fun are two of the key elements at the very core of our latest startup of the week.
FitXR is an innovative startup that's on a mission to "redefine fitness through immersive technologies and prove that exercise is for everyone".
The first product that they have created is BoxVR which is a boxing-inspired VR fitness app.
Here’s how it works - simply put on a VR headset and then you can be fully engaged in a boxing workout or routine which has been choreographed by a professional trainer or instructor. No matter what level of fitness you are at, there is something to suit - from short warm-up routines that only last a few minutes right through to intensive endurance workouts that last over an hour. What all the routines have in common though is how fun they are.BoxVR is blending gaming and fitness together to ensure that users get the ultimate VR and AR experience whilst at the same time can improve their overall health and fitness and energy levels. You can upload your own music to work out to although the app already features uplifting and energetic music to help keep you focused and motivated.
To give you a clearer idea of what it's like, we reckon this description fits perfectly : "Guitar Hero crossed with a studio boxing workout".
Now who wouldn’t enjoy that!
