Startup of the Week - Edens Paper

by Startacus Admin
Christmas Day is almost upon us once more - a day generally filled with the usual suspects - lots of food and drink, lots of presents (if we’ve been good) and of course lots of discarded wrapping paper.
All that effort we put into wrapping our gifts and the recipient tears it off in a split second and casts it aside without a second thought.
Well, thanks to our latest Startup of the Week, that need no longer be the case.
Edens Paper is a startup which produces plantable paper products. Yep. You read that right - plantable paper. Basically, the company has created a range of gift wrap that is embedded with seeds.
The manufacturing process involves the seeds being held together and sandwiched between a layer of wrapping paper and several layers of biodegradable tissue paper. Simple huh?
Then the fun begins…wrapping - opening - thanking - you know the script!
Next, you simply peel off the front of the wrapping paper to reveal the seeded paper. Then, cut the paper into strips, plant and water it and then wait for your veg, or flowers or herbs to appear!
Use Edens Paper to wrap your gifts and you’re in a sense giving a present that just keeps on giving. What’s not to love about that…
